City Walks Almere
This walker's guide has 40 pages with all the directions for four walks through Almere. Discover Stadshart (City Centre), Almere Haven, Eilandenbuurt (the Islands District) and the Regenboogbuurt with the routes marked out in this book. Diverse walks starting from Country Park 'De Kemphaan'
Various walks start from the Information Centre at the Kemphaan. Five have been set out specifically by the IVN (Vereniging voor Natuure- en Milieueducatie - Society for Nature and Environmental Education) and they organise walks in and around Almere, ten times a year.
The forestry commission (staatsbosbeheer) has marked out various walks in Almere's woods too: the Buitenlanenroute, the Yellow route, the Blue route, the Esdoorn (Sycamore) route, the Nature path, the Bridges route, the Trip route, the Clematis route, the Wet path and the Cathedrals route – lots to choose from!
'Flevolandschap' has walks set out through Pampushout and the Lepelaarsplassen for enjoyable nature walks too. Lots of trips are organised, in various combinations. Mapped out routes leaving from the Kemphaan are available from VVV Almere for €1.50
