The arts and all things cultural in Almere
Almere has a lot to offer in terms of 'culture'. The Playhouse (Schouwburg) presents big musical productions, Dutch cabaret and International stage plays. Check out the impressive programme some time! Almere Haven's 'Cultural Centre' - 'Corrosia' - also knows how to enthral us with various performances and exhibitions. Theatre company 'Suburbia' holds a fantastic outdoor performance every Summer and, at Almere Beach (Almeerderzand) the performers from 'Vis-a-Vis also have a really wonderful outdoor show. Our local literary society regularly organises interesting evenings with invited authors as key speakers. And did you know that the exceptional museum for modern art 'De Paviljoens' is curator of a collection of landscape art projects as well as presenter of varying exhibitions?
