Almere's city centre is striking, modern, eclectic even. The new city centre has already won various international accolades and features one of the largest shopping centres in the Netherlands. De Kemphaan Country Park

There is a 'farmer's market' at the De Kemphaan Country Park every Saturday from 9.30am – 11pm. Here you can buy biological potatoes, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, bread, meat, dried foods, plants and flowers.

Shopping Centres

Almere has various shopping centres spread throughout the city and in the various districts. The Almere Buiten and Almere Haven districts are almost entirely retail zones. The other various residential districts benefit from their own supermarkets, local health centres and numerous small retail outlets. This means you’re rarely far from a grocer, baker, butcher, etc.

Almere Buiten

Almere Buiten has a superb new shopping centre offering a wealth of retail opportunities. The shops in Almere Buiten centre are open on every first Sunday of the month. There is also a market here every Thursday from 9am to 2pm.
